1999 Clk 430 not starting
Hello All, i am new to the forum and i look forward to the many topics and discussions this forum has to offer.
My 1999 Clk 430 is not starting, it is turning over but won't start. I have already had the CPS changed and that wasn't the problem, initially i thought it was the key because of the lock cylinder not unzipping when placing the old key into it. i bought a new key from MB and that solved the unzipping problem. It seems to not be getting any fuel to the engine. when i turn the key i can hear the fuel pump working. I was told by a MB service tech that i wasn't getting any fuel from right side of the car. He also told me that it would not be worth doing a full diagnosis to find an fix the problem because i have had my car broken into where m¥ window was broken and my radio and speakers were snatched out leaving wires loose from the console. my door panels were ripped off as well. I can somewhat understand the MB Dealer wanting to fix everything to uphold the high standard of owning a Mercedes. I can always get a new radio and speakers. I just simply want my car to start again. Any advice would help and be greatly appreciated. |

you'll need to get on SDS to see where the communication is getting held up, w/o that you'll just be guessing Where is GA are you located?
Insurance won't help out w/ the repairs?? I agree on the stereo bit. Not 100% Sure about compatibility but there is a fellow just down the road who is parting a 209 CLK, perhaps you could upgrade door cards etc... price should be right! Jonathan
