new '82 300TD owner, need some advice!
Questions for mechanics who frequent the forum, or anyone else!
1. What are your top 3 online resources for miscellaneous parts, not only availability but cost? 2. Specifically I need a new ventilation tube/breather tube and redlinemotive.com is all i've found so far -- not exactly local. 3. Anyone have experience replacing Rear Accumulators? I have a quote for $550 from a local mechanic --seems a mite high after reading that a guy on benzworld.org forum replaced his himself. Any and all input/advice is welcome--- thanks

Replacing rear accumulators, running down the ubiquitous vacuum issues, re-plumping the driver's seat...these are high on the Do-List. I'll be grateful for any advice that is offered! |

I've been told by people who know a lot more than I do to avoid aftermarket SLS parts. I had an '84 300TD for a while, but my rear suspension had been replaced by regular shocks before I got it. You should look up Jonathan Hodgeman at Blue Ridge MD in Atlanta. He's on this forum and knows his stuff.
