ASR & ABS light
 

Help !
I have a 97 S500 with 110,000. miles on it. Recently the ABS & the
ASR light started coming on. Whenthe engine is started the lights are off. As soon as the brakes are touched ( in reverse or forward ) the lights come on and stay on. I checked the readily visible brake components and fluid and confirmed their condition.
I then removed & reinstalled the neg batt term. The light went out but the problem reoccured. Any suggestions ?.

Brake lamp switch (dual contact) or power to BL switch.

MB DOC,
I just replaced the center rear brake lamp and my ABS and ASR light came on. My ASR defeat swtich does not work anymore. Do you think its related to brake lamp switch? Please guide me a bit..
