1994 e320 dome light
 

the map light works and the dome light works but the function for turning on the light when openning the door and having it delay and turn off after the door is closed does not work ????

you may of moved the setting

i believe setting the knob to the furthest away is the setting u want

it turns on the light when u open the door and does the whole delay

but if u want the light while in the car u need to move it to the desired setting

Yes it is the bottom setting for that function our 190e has the same light sun roof system and it works fine. We had a bulb go out on the 190 anyway I wonder in the 1994 if the switch could be bad????? both bulbs work and the other settings work - map light and dome light continuous

If the dome light works when the passenger's door is open, but won't turn on when the driver's door is open, the seatbelt warning relay is shot.

You need to remove the instrument cluster to replace the relay. It's toward the right hand side, at the rear.

thanks the dome light will not come on when openning any door. It just does not work on the door delay mode???
