'89 560 sel, is it common for the oil pressure gauge in the dash to go bad? The mech. says the sending unit is good, so it must be the gauge, and you have to buy the whole cluster....Is there a gauge repair shop?

For every gauge I've replaced I would guess 75-100 sending units. VDO makes the guage & many shops (speedo) can make repair attempts.
