tail light "swap" w210

Tried a search to find this but can't get any hits. Does anyone remember a post about taking the taillight lenses from a 2000 210 body and installing them into a 98 or 99 w210? The clearer lenses on the 2000 and up just seem to give the rear end a upgraded look. I thought there was an article on this.
