OverLoad Protection Wire Connector $140
This past weekend while I was changing the transmission fluid and filter, I decided to check the wire that connects to the "Overload Protection Switch." When I unscrewed the sealed connector, the rubber boot broke. I called the parts department and was told the wire is $140ish dollars.
I'm not familiar with other transmissions but the 722.3 has the Overload protection switch/connector next to the vacuum modular valve. (Just to the left) It has a 2 pole connector with a screw cap. I wrapped the rubber boot with electrical tape for now. Does anyone have "home fixes" or sources for used "odd" parts like this. I'm not wanting to spend $140ish dollars for a wire with a sealed boot. |
I'd need to see it, but I guarantee I would fix it before I'd pay that kind of money.
Home Depot carries a "liquid electrical tape" that you might consider. It's cool stuff for repairs and weather sealing stuff, you should have a bottle in your collection of tools n goodies either way. |
