Hello! I have a 93 190E 2.3 that has the O2 sensor light on for quite a while now. The car never stalls. I've replaced the O2 sensor, but the light is still on. Does the ECU need to be reset? Or do I need to take it to the dealer for diagnosis? Thanks for your help!

There is a small computer inside of the car that triggers this light. It can be reset Or removed. IT'S only job is to tell you to spend more money, even if the sensor is still good! MOST O2 sensors last 75-100k miles.

Reset the computer by disconnect your battery, be sure you have the radio code.

The computer is under a plastic cover under the passenger side carpet (floor), it looks just like fuel pump relay. has a reset button on top that can be pressed to reset. would be happy to fax info. Disconnecting battery won't reset.
