Loose rearview mirror. Any way to repair?

The rearview mirror on my '97 E420 made an awful cracking sound when I was adjusting it, and now it is loose. Has anyone had this issue. Is it something that can be repaired? Thanks

Do a search on W140 rear view mirror repair and you'll find all you need to repair your mirror.
