A guide rail pin removal tool (bolt) broke off in one of the pins that holds the right side (US passenger side) fixed guide rail in place. Then the extractor broke while I was removing the stub. I'll be trying a different type of extractor shortly, but I expect that the threads on the pin will be too damaged to accept another removal tool.
Question is, if the pin absolutely refuses to come out, is there any way to pull the head? Is there some way to remove the tensioer guide rail with the fixed guide rail in place? Thanks, Sixto Orosa Santa Clara, CA 78 450SEL 91 300SE |
