Anybody ever use platinum vapour injection in a Benz? Is it easy to install? Supposedly it increases fuel economy by 20%.

Sorry about this post. There was a show about it on TV and when I heard it I got very excited. The claims very very good. After I posted this the show continued and it turns out that platinum injection doesn't really do anything. Sorry. Next time I'll watch the whole show before I post a question

Anybody have the real tech on this deal ?
I have seen several reports making some pretty wild claims. I am fairly knowledgeable in the engine/mechanical end of things, but have no degree in whatever would be nessesary to make a determination on the validity of the Platinum and increased gas milage / cleaner engine claims. Since there is not much Platinum in the world, seems odd we would be injecting the stuff into car engines. Even if it works, Platinum is sort of EXPENSIVE. Just curious. |
I think this product is only successful for the manufacturer. It was tested independantly in Canada and in the US and found to be have no effect on mileage. If it did work as advertised, that would free-up several million barrels of oil a day, and probably cause the world price to collapse because of over-supply.
