Need advice on selecting repair manual

I'm looking for a repair manual that would guide an experienced mechanic through his first Mercedes project. Valve job and timing chains on an 85 380 sl. I found the listing below, but am not sure it is the right one.

81-85 380 Engine Shop Service Repair Manual by Mercedes for V8 as used in 380 SL SE SEL & SEC: 380SL 380SE 380SEL & 380SEC (83_380_V8)

Any help would be appreciated.

The Mercedes 107 CD is OK - it certainly gives you the information you describe. There are real copies available from FastLane and bootleg copies on ebay.

Thanks. I ordered a bootleg.

I have the 107CD. Is there a lot of stuff missing on the CD that's in the book?

Is there a better version on DVD (maybe it was space limitations, because the manuals are scanned as images and not true Acrobat text based files?)

I was really hoping that the CD would be a replacement for the book.
