Follow Steve's diagnosis...even though you don't understand, it is probably spot on.

I don't know if the search function is fully restored, if it is doing a search on "diode" or "faulty seat belt module" should bring up a number of posts. Some may even have a how-to repair or how-to replace diodes at home.

Yes, the seatbelt warning relay is at fault. It's a small black relay, about 1" by 2". Part number 004-545-07-32. On your car, I believe it's located above the brake pedal.

The reason the left side don't work is often the circuit as it passes through the seat belt module is open. The passenger side light switch goes straight to the light. Pulling the module has no effect on the right side but makes sure the left side don't work.

Look at the wiring diagram and follow the door switch circuit for the left side. The reason this all happens is they use the same switch for two different circuits: dome light and seat belt warning.

Thanks Steve.BTW We all love when you reply to one of our posts, but in my case and i think in some other cases, your knowlage is so far behond ours that i think it is difficult for you to explain the reason for or the actual fix of a problem. What i am trying to say is that if i say i do not understand your reply please don't get offended it is because i am a mechanical person and NOT an electrical one.And please do not stop replying to any of my posts, just think [420 benz somewhat chalanged] Thanks Again

420, I found an extra (used) relay in my garage. Let me know if you're interested.

One thing you should remember, a suggestion such as mine in this post is based on experience and should be be verified with testing.

I am strongly opposed to repairs by statistical probability. I do use probability to try and start close to the answer. No sense wasting time (bg).
