Torque converter question, W123 - in diesel section?
I posted this in the Diesel section, maybe answers here?
Transmission / Torque converter compatibilty? I'm mostly interested in finding out whether a n/a torque converter is suitable for a turbo engine (617.952), and whether the slushbox from a '83 240D would hold up to the turbo engine. Does anyone know if the torque converter from my '78 300D will fit in the '83 240D tranny - I haven't taken the 300D out of service yet, but if anyone knows, I'd appreciate it. TIA.

Yes, that old converter from the 1978 300D will fit the 240D as well!
