190E 2.3 Trans fit on a 300E?? (I know this has been beat to death, but...)
 

Hi all,
I need to know if the 190E 2.3 manual trans will work on a 300E. I know that I would need at least a six cyl flywheel, but how much of the rest of it will switch over? Any worries about it being reliable on the larger motor?
Opportunity is knocking and I need a little more info before I invite the bastard in!

I need to know if the little guy can handle the torque of the 3.0 or if it'll just fall apart!

What year 2.3 is it out of? It should fit, but I'm not sure about the driveshaft and crossmember. As far as whether it'll handle the extra power.....I can't say for sure. Hopefully I can start my real-world experiment w/ a 2.3 tranny on an m103 in a couple weeks :)
