R170 1999 SLK 200 - Vibration
 

Hi I have a problem that the local MB dealer/workshop (in Norway) cannot fix! I hope someone in this forum might have some solutions... :)

For some time now (about 6 months) my SLK starts to vibrate when i accelerate over a certain speed : the vibration starts at 55kph and are still present when i accelerate to 90 kph ( but feels less present) and still 100 kph. If should try to describe the vibration sensation it should be : You know when you open the car door window slightly when you drive at high speed. You get a kind of a muffled vibration sensation inside the car.
The problem does not allways occour everytime i drive the car, sometimes it may just happen 2 times during a week somtimes everyday for a week..... Ive tried to figure out if there are any system to when it happens ( temperature, moisture, when the car is warm/cold....) cannot find anyting. sometimes the vibrations can stop aoccouring when i turn of the ignition and start the car again and accellerate to over 55 kph.

like i mentioned the MB workshop cannot find the solution. they have tried several "solutions".... But they say that there is no info regarding this problem.. they are working in the blind...
