blower speeds on a 124

In "Auto" mode, how many speeds should i get from the heater blower? It seems my system only works between mid and hi speeds. It never goes into low, nevertheless it still maintains the temperature requested.
Between the three main speeds (low-mid-hi) does the climate control handles in between speeds?

Thanks

The blower motor speed is infinitely variable via a duty cycle type switching device behind the blower.

You will only get very low blower speed on low speed in the winter with the heat on (to the point you get almost no air out of the floor vents), in the summer it will vary from full blast to medium low.

Not on mine.
When cold, I mean cold like -25/-35F, I get full blower speed if needed with the fan speed set on Auto.

I meant that the only time I get very slow fan speeds is when it's cold enough for the heat to be on, at low speed fan setting. I nearly froze one evening before I realized I'd punched the "low" button. On Auto, it works normally.

Sprop,
It would help to know what year your car is, also what model. For instance, I have a 126 and it has 5 speeds. Low and high speeds are manual (push buttons) and 2,3,and 4 are automatic. A friend of mine has a 126 and his goes from low to high in auto with a botton for low or high speeds only. So 124 is not enough information to receive a correct answer.
By the way, my 126 is an 84 500SEL and my friends is an 87 420SEL. When talking about the electrical system the year and engine is just as important as the body style.

On a 124, there's a LOW, AUTO and HIGH button.
Mine has been on AUTO for the last 15 years.
