About a week ago, I was rear ended by a minivan. There is a huge dent on the license plate area, the bumper has significant damage, and the area in front of the rear wheel wells buckled. I took my car to an estimater, who said that the total cost for the damage will be approximately $3500. He recommended(along with my insurance company) that the repairs be done at his shop, ensuring me that the quality of work in his shop is second to none. Apparently, they have been in business for 40 years and have excellent customer satisfaction. Do you guys think I should have the repairs done at this shop, or should I opt for a Mercedes-Benz body shop at the local dealer? Is there any significant advantage to taking it to my local dealer?

If you do get it done at that shop make sure they use genuine mercedes parts. Sometimes the generic replacement body parts may not fit like they are supposed too.
