MIchelin Pilot Sports. They were stock on both of my MB's, they perform like no other and have always served me well. They might be a little too oriented towards sport if you've been running touring tires. For an all season alternative, the Pirelli P-Zero B&S (their all season one, I'm pretty sure that's the name) seem to be great tires for the clients I have that want performance all season rubber.
On my winter rims I run Nokian Hakipulitas. On my CLK 55, the few times I would actually take it out in winter, I could barely get the rear to move around in heavy midwestern snow. A good friend of mine drives his E46 M3 all winter with the Nokians on it, and same story. |

Michelin MXV4. Silky smooth and quiet, good traction and still good tread left after 62,000 miles.

I'm running Bridgestone SO3's on 17". A little heavier than the average tire but they're quiet, smooth and stick like nobodies business.

My Mercedes-Benz had Michelin Pilot HX on all wheels, the standard size for a Sportline: 205/60 R15. Maybe they were the original ones(14 years old!!) maybe not, yet they looked only slightly worn. I've left them in place.

Running Pereli P400's on my 190e. thats what was on it when I bought it and they seem to be very good tires for that chassis. Good grip and decent tread life.

Michelin Pilot Sports - Noisy.... but they are damn good in the rain..
Michelin MXV4+ for winter (moderate driving at least) - nice and quiet but terrible in the rain.

I have Turanza LS-H on the E300 Turbodiesel. Very nice, soild tire that excels in the rain. I have Potenza RE950 on the wagon, very good on dry and very good in the rain. I would recommend them both. They are both summer tires though and have no positive points at all in any kind of cold precipitation.

MXV4+ on the 300E at the moment, they were on there when I bought the car. Looking in the logbook I see the orginal factory tyres fitted were Pirellis.
Michelins seem good, very quiet and good in the rain and pretty respectable in snow.

MXV4's on the Benz, Pirellli P-Zero's on the 911. Happy with both, and plan to replace them with identical (or the current version, at least) when I need to. Both cars are all weather daily drivers.

I run Bridgestone RE950s in Seattle, love 'em. Lot's of tire for the price. I had MXV4s when I bought the 300TE used, and they were absolutely positively dangerous in the wet and had premature sidewall failure.

Had MXV4's on the 300, absolute crap compared to Yokohamas AVS. They are now discontinued but replaced with the ES300's which have better silica content and are great for fast fall driving in colder weather. And the price is right as well ...
