Window does not go down..but I hear a click

Is the motor dead?
How can I open the door panel? Which screws do I need to unscrew if any?
I notice the plastic on the handle can just pop off, is it the same with the entire door panel to check the motor for the window?

thanks in advance

Assuming the motor is OK and the window switch is OK, it might be the sliding jaw (white plastic item) or maybe the lower metal frame that is glued to the bottom of the glass came off.

Look inside.

Goos luck

window repair

recently repaired a rear window that was clicking, motor running , no window movement. I discovered the following
I found out the first and formost...plan to take the entire motor and gear essembly out of the door.

I found the clicking to be cause by the motor gear itself running past the teeth on the other geared part. At that point the coiled spring won't retrn the arm.The entire windo mech. was bent and had to straightened.

make sure the arm is attached to the slide at the bottom of the window into the white nylon clip. Grease the slide, wave garlic over your head three time, throw salt over your right shoulder, and do what I did...start on the other three windows that have the same problem.
