190e Pinion Yoke removal

I have a 1991 190e 2.6 liter and and am putting in a replacement differential. before puting it in, I want to replace all the seals. I know the pinion yoke nut is a 12 point 30 mm deep socket, but where do I get one? Craftsman only goes to 29mm and Snap-on requires that I buy a whole set of sockets.

Thanks.

If the pinion isn't leaking I'd leave well enough alone.

The problem is that reassembling the pinion nut is hard to judge the proper torque as it really should only be done while crushing the crush sleeve. If you tighten it too much the pinion bearings won't last long. Seen it happen just too many times, even by shops.

..... and if you ever do have to do one , it is best to index the nuts position
before removal.. then you have a fair chance at getting it back where it was without crushing the sleeve any further.
The amount the sleeve is crushed is the load spec on the bearing and can not be done by feel....
