Couple of days ago Leon Hernandez had a post about noise from the radio. My problem is a little bit different from his. The noise only happens in AM band. My wife's 97 Camry gets a much better reception from the same AM station then my 94 C280.
Jeffsr mentioned that it might be a bad ground under the hood. Can someone give me more hints where to start looking at? Thanks. Oh, the radio unit is stock. ------------------ Harry (94 C280) |

Nope, bad ground at the antenna assembly. This is usually where the problem is. Can be ignition noise, but if the antenna ground is poor, it will be much worse. Most noticeable on AM band, due to frequency band of the noise.
