I have checked the archives for this one...
1. I have an oil pressure gauge on my 81 300D that has only 1, 2, or 3 levels. I don't understand what they mean, obviously 3 is higher pressure than 1, but what is the unit of measurement. 2. Currently, when running, the needle is on the 3. When idling at a stop light, the pressure drops to 2 or so. If I run low on oil, then it is runs about 2 1/2. 3. Does the 1,2,3 designation indicate that this car came from another market, not intended for the US? Thanks in advance for your help. Josh ------------------ 81 300D 250K+ (odo doesn't work!) Sorry,
I didn't check the right archive, must have been the car audio forum or something. I found the answers to question 2. But if anyone knows the answers to 1 and 3, I would still like to know. Josh |

Josh, the 1,2,3 mean bars (metric pressure measurement) 1 bar is approx 14.4 PSI. Your oil pressure is OK. Happy motoring..
