300TE Intermittant cut-out

I have a 1993 300TE which has started to cut-out under a certain set of conditions.

The particular conditions occur as the car is negotiating a roundabout (or road juction with similar layout) which requires the car to intially swing left and then right to complete the manouvre. When transitioning from the left turn to the right turn, the engine will cut out leaving the driver to coast to a stop. The engine always restarts following cut-out and runs faultlessly at all other times.

Any thoughts on what may be causing this ?
