I just bought my first MB and decided on 81-85 300D after reading a lot of post off this site. I just purchased this 85 300d and I have my first of what I am sure are going to be numerous questions. The climate control system is not working properly and I need to remove the trim to get to it. How exactly do I remove it without breaking it? Also, I have read about the mono-valve and the actual climate control circuit board but I haven't read much about the amplifier. Where is it at exactly and how do I know if it is working properly?

My 1985 300D the wood trim just pulls off carefully, & it pops back on. The climate control is another thing, it is all in one unit with the switches. & costs big bucks, I just seen some in a local junkyard. |
