Hello, I was wondering if you guys could help me out. Well when my car has been sitting for awhile and the outside temp is cool it takes about 4 trys to get the car started, then it feels like its running on about 3 cylinders, I have to let the car warm up awhile then it will bump along the road then all of a sudden it will run like normal, then it will bump along again. It does this until the car has gotten up to operating temp. where it runs fine. The spark plugs are new and are gapped within specs. Also my OVP is faulty. Thanks for your help.

Well, if you know that your OVP relay is bad, I would suggest that you fix it.

Do you know that the OVP relay powers the KE-Jet control unit? With it dead you get NO starting enrichment or cold enrichment. But the car runs fine warm even though it still is missing acceleration enrichment.

The way you describe the symptoms you could have a secondary ignition problem. But, lack of fuel control is more likely since you say the OVP relay is bad.

You can check your coil out by checking the resistance in the coil. If you suspect the coil, first check the primary ignition circuit. The wires to the coil may have some corrosion after 14 years. It also may be your spark plug wires or distributor capor rotor.

I checked the rotor and the distributor and they are ok. I will try to clean off the wires to the coil to see if that helps any. Also, I see that you have a 1996 Grand Voyager 3.3, how is that thing holding up for you? My mother drove a 1996 Grand Voyager SE 3.3 for about 3 years and had nothing but problems with it from the start to time she got rid of it, she fell in love with it though and really wants another chrysler minivan.
