Your best bet is to replace the entire harness, have you priced them?
i replaced one a few months back, i don't remember but i don't think they were that expensive. you will save a lot of headache if you do. if you want send me you vin and i will see what connectors are available from mercedes. when the sell connectors they usuall come with about 20 feet of additional wire, more than enough to replace damaged areas. send me an email with the vin if you want and i will check. asr wiring

Hi and thanks for the reply,
The Vin#WDBFA76E3RF088893. Question the loom in question is the one that is part of the Actuator (sodered to a curcuit board inside) are we talking about the same wiring loom? If so that would be great, both sides have this problem but the passenger side still operates. Thanks for any help George

SL 600 wiring harnesses

I also am keenly interested in any solutions to this--have the same problem. ETA's are $2500+ EACH.

ASR PROBLEMS AS WELL 95 E320 Touring

I am curious if this electrical breakdown will require a new or rebuilt actuator or could it be just the wiring. I have a new engine wiring harness, but now am being told I need to replace the throttle actuator. Also, the wiring attached to the O2 sensor has disintigrated. I have been told there several wiring harnesses in my vehicle. Are both the O2 sensor and throttle actuator on the same harness? If so, anyone know a part #?

I am basically looking to avoid replacing the throttle actuator.

Before changing out all sorts of $$junk...take a look at the wiring harness that goes to the Alt and the starter. They go bad to on W124s, especially at this age regardless of mileage. BTDT. Do that before the TBA.
