WHO KNOWS HOW TO SWITCH AMBIENT TEMPERATURE READING FROM FAHRENHEIT TO CELCIUS ON '97 E320?

You need to change the variant coding of the pushbutton controller. I think it can be done without special tools but the HHT can change it if not.

I am going to Aruba for two weeks starting Saturday and I don't have access to the instructions at home; either to read the code or reset it. Hopefully someone else can post it for you or email me in two weeks and I'll fax it to you.

Ooops, I got to read better. After rereading your post I see that you are talking about the dash temp reading. I think the same answer may apply but with a different control unit IC (instrument cluster).
