Removing breather hose.

Well I just finished removing and replacing my rock hard breather hoses (see photo) with new ones but I cannot figure out how to remove the last hose by the MAS meter. If it is an easy job, let me know. And if you want to replace your breather hoses, REMEMBER TO BUY THE CONNECTORS !!! I forgot to get them and I spent about 30 minutes prying the old hoses off of them. By replacing these breather hoses, what improvements should I expect, if any.

Also as I was examining other hoses, hose # 1 (see photo) is rock hard as well. What is hose #1 and is it easy to replace? If somebody can also let me know what hoses #2 and #3 are, it would be appreciated.
