WARNING! Spyware site Mercedes Manuals
 

Yesterday, while on my work PC, I clicked on that website where the guy has put up an on-line manual for owners. The URL is http://skinnerbox.steaky.org/Service/W126/Main.html
Right after, my computer (internet explorer anyway) became LOADED with spyware, pop-ups, links to sex sites etc. etc. I/we (tech support) managed to get rid of all but 3, and they are real buggers to erase!! Fortunately, my PC is about due for a refresh, which will blow them away, but I thought I'd warn others. BE VERY CAUTIOUS on this site. I'm never going there again!

Strange. It's behaved itself for me.

You know, what we really need isn't software to keep this crap off our PCs. It's software to melt down the senders and electrocute the writers. I'd really, really like to see a few public floggings of these *******s.

Yes, and it really pisses me off that the guy who has that site has my name plastered on it. :mad:

I've been using the site with no problems so far. Are you certain the pop-ups came from that site? I really can't afford to end up with any more viruses ro webpage hijacks.
