Just bought a 1997 E320 with 86,000 miles
I had the car checked out by a mechanic and everything seems to be in good shape. No leaks (amazing) or obvious problems. Can anyone recommend areas that I should address immediately, based on the mileage?
Thanks, Mark |

I'd just make sure the maintenance was up to date.
If I had no records, then I'd replace all of the fluids and filters to start will a clean slate. And remember, there are two maintenance items that are performed in time intervals instead of mileage intervals: 1. Brake fluid - required to be replaced every 2 years. 2. Radiator fluid - required to be replaced every 3 years.

Did the I6 have the harmonic balancer problems that the V6's have?
