I went to the autostore and bought 6 of these for the 300 and they said this is what is recommended (Made in Germany) for around $1.50 each.

If this is not good, then what type of plugs are recommended?

matt,
Do a search we have talked about this a lot. Go copper for anything before 92-93. Why? Because the smaller spark just can not be handled by the 102 and 103 engines.

There has also been talk of Platinum plugs degrading and leaving chunks of platinum floating around. My buddy sells Benzes and had a client who had to spring for a new motor....MBZ wouldn't pick up the tab because he'd installed Platinum plugs.

Just a word of caution...

If platinum plugs are no good due to the size of the spark, are "spit Fire" or similar split electrode prugs better than regular copper plugs?

Just curious on peoples thoughts.

Thanks
