1994 C-220 Ignition Cylinder Removal

I've done my homework and searched the prior posts regarding this subject. However I'd like some additional advice before I try. The key will turn slightly to the right as if the tumblers were meeting the key correctly but after the slight turn it will go no further. I've tried the 'vibration' technique disscussed but with no success. I also sat there for 15 minutes playing with the key to try and at least get it to the 'accessory' position but was also unsuccessful. I removed the plastic ring around the black cylinder case but need help on where to go from here. How does that black casing come off to reveal the lock cylinder? Can the lock cylinder be removed if I can not get it to the accessory position? Will the two prong coat hanger tool work on this model to pop the lock cylinder out? I appreciate everyones help and time.
