I posted this under wheels & tires, but I know some of the smarter MBZ people do not surf the other chat areas. I have a set of 8 holes that I just put on my 1991 124. They fit fine upfront, but the back seems to hit something inside the hub. It appears that the lugs from my 124 fit recessed back in the wheel, not flush with the surface as they do with the 15 holes. I stopped by my local MBZ (rip-off dealer) and the only thing I could see different between a 124 series and a 202 is that the 202 has a larger head.
The following numbers are in the inside of my wheel:
7Jx15H2...wheel diameter + width
ET36.....offset
K3....????
0370536....????

The follwing numbers were on the outside of my wheel:
KBA42359...????

What are these numbers and what car did this wheel come from????

Hmmm the offset might not be correct on the wheels, but I would assume they are fine. perhaps the lugs are not correct. they have some with taller bolt parts and shorter thread parts, maybe this will solve your problem.

Other than that, I have no clue.

That sounds exactly like what the problem is, but I do not know what bolt to buy. The loacl MBZ dealer does not really want to help.

Try to use shorter bolts. I have a similar problem with my summer wheels which have different offset from the stock wheels and the bolts in the back do touch. The dealer did not want to help either but I got shorter bolts for the rear only and it is running free of touching anything.

call luke at Tire Rack. He can probably get you the right lugs
