I did take it to the dealer. The rain isn't the issue they say--the transmission has a leak, which got into the wiring harness and control module that is under the car. What are the odds that this problem would occur at the same time as the rain? Once they've replaced all of those things (under warranty), maybe there will STILL be a problem with the control board under the shift console. Who knows? All I know is I don't have a car at the moment....... I'll have to advise on the final outcome on this.
