2001 CL500 Question
 

My friend is thinking of buying a 2001 CL500. She has asked me to help her inspect the car. The car is at the local Infiniti dealership here in Tallahassee. Are there any major issues with this year? Where there any service recalls in 2001. Is there anything that is going to need replacing in the near future? It has 33,100 miles and they are asking $56,900 for it. We will be going to look at it on Saturday; if it looks OK I will take it to my independent MB repair shop for an inspection. Thanks for all of your help in advance.

My opinion is they have been fairly trouble-free. What options are on it? Does it have Distronic?

didn't some of the early versions of these CL's have paint issues on the composite trunk lids etc...?
I know of one car that had this problem and don't recall if I read others had the problem also.
