VW headlight

For lack of a better place and inkeeping with the spirit of the Forum, I ask your forgivness for asking this question: how do I get the headlight out of a 96 VW Passat. Help anyone? Required Mercedes content: I don't seem to be able to get more than 22 MPG out of my 94 S350. Perhaps I am pushing it too hard. Any suggestions. It idles and runs very smooth. TIA.

vwvortex.com or tdiclub.com
I frequent the tdiclub its a great non comercial site for vw info.
good luck.

What is pushing it to hard?

Revs cost you in fuel, as in fast highway (80+) or lots of down shifts around town.
