Malufunction Instrument Cluster
 

On my 98 s420 all the warning lights on my instrument cluster blinked on and went out. Next thing I know my gas and oil pressure gauge go dead. I stop the car and sat then restarted, nothing changed. So, later I went to fill my tank up and the gas gauge started to work but, the oil pressure gauge stayed the same. I removed the cluster to check the ground wires and connectors out and everything looked ok. I was wondering if the instrument cluster could be bad or what could it be :confused: :confused: :confused: .

Seems to be a common W140 problem mine does a similar thing only its the tach that stays off for a few seconds. Lots of info here on it. A company called programa apparently does repairs. Do a search for "programa" and you will find the thread.
