Sportline shocks = sport Bilsteins?
Do the Sportline shocks Mercedes installed in the various models have the same dampening/valving as the Bilstein sports?
I believe the Sportline shocks were made at by Sachs/Boge? I need to replace shocks and I am more interested in ride quaility than all out handling. The car has sport springs. Recommendations? Has anyone swapped the Sportlines for other shock makes? Thanks Tinker |

I just replaced my original Sportline shocks/struts with Bilstein Sports. No noticable difference. Like them very much.

Depends on the car. For w201's, Bilstein has "Comfort" (=standard OEM MB), "HD/Heavy Duty" (=Sportline), and "Sport" (shorter range for sport springs).
For other chassis (unsure of which ones), there's only "Comfort" and "Sport" |

Thanks guys.
Just ordered a set of Bilstein Sports. I will report back as to the ride difference after I get them installed next weekend. Tinker |
