202 climate control help

On my 94 c220, Is there a way to change the climate control measurement standard to Deg instead of Cels? I could swear it was in degrees before my last servicing.

Yes. The wheel that sets the temperature has a strip of tape that wraps around the circumferance of the wheel. The tapes come in celcius and farenheit. Maybe your farenheit tape fell off or was removed thus exposing the underlying celcius tape.

Just a guess.

You can get a new farenheit tape from the dealer... possibly even fastlane.

On My 94 c220 it is a digital pushbutton. and i recall being able to change the display but i cant remember how.

Thats a different story. You should change your question to: how do I reset my digital display? ;)

Shall we assume you have lost your owners manual?

I just checked my owners manual and there isn't anything in there about that setting (that I could find). All I can tell you is there is a diagnostic mode for the climate control unit which involves something like holding down the rest button for 10 seconds. However I don't know much more than that. Also I don't know if that would be a way to change this setting. Worst case I'm sure the dealer can switch it back.

If you do a search on this forum you should/may find a post that tells you how to diagnose/dial-in the HVAC push-button unit.
