560SEL Windhield Washers not working
There's plenty of cleaner in the reservoir. The wipers work and both the wipers and washers for the headlights work. The fuse looks ok.
I know the pumps are cheap but not sure yet that this is the problem. Where exactly are the pumps? Also, I'm seeing manuals on CD ROM for the w126 both on eBay and manualsunlimited.com. Anyone using one of these? These are selling for $20-25, others are selling for $150+. Ebay usually cracks down on bootlegs fairly quickly so I'm wondering what the story is. Thanks, Bill 1988 560SEL 130k |

The pumps are on the bottle. Their are two one for the headlight wipers and the other for the windsheild. Are the headlight washers spraying?
I know where you can get a W126 CD. I will pm you.

The washers don't need to work in order to pass.
It would be good to fix them though, huh? Can you hear a pump running when you run them? Be sure to have the headlights off at the same time or else you will be hearing their pump.

I plan to fix them but the inspection thing would have meant I have to do so by the end of the month. I don't hear the pump running, the wipers go through their cycle but no washers. I checked around the reservoir for crimped hoses and didn't find anything. It looks like the pumps are less than $20 on Fastlane, I just want to make sure that's the problem. ~Bill |

There are two washer pumps on the side of your washer resevoir. Why don't you take the washer pump for the headlights and exchange them with the windshield washer pump? That way you will know for sure.
