ASR Reset?
 

Hi I had to intall 2 new acccuators on a 600SL question: does the ECU need to be reset? Thanks for any help

Presuming you are talking about the electronic throttle actuators--I may like to buy your old cores. What year? What did you have to pay for the new ones and from whom?

Error codes will remain in the memory of the system, and it MAY remain in the LIMP mode. Try it and see--it MAY work just fine. If the ETA's were the only issue it should work OK.

If the ARS light stays on and limp mode remains on, have to reset the bugger.

Thanks for the reply,Year 1994 600SL. I have a shop so I got wholesale prices a L side $2840 and R side $2340. I tried to repair the wiring on the left one but did not touch the right on both have crumbled wiring (at only 90K miles stupid design:-( ) If you still want them make me an offer I have to wait till I deliver the car. My scanner will not read ASR only engine. body and trans, and I'm in a area that has no dealer, any other wqay to reset w/out buying the proper scanner?
