SD300 Glovebox Woes - New MB Owner
Hi, I'm new to the forum (and) new with Mercedes vehicles. When I like things I just have to buy TWO of them!
Sooo> Within the last two weeks, I've purchased TWO > a 1982 300TD-T and a 1985 300D-T 1st Q. How in the HECK do I get the glovebox latch assembly out so I can re-glue the wood trim piece that's falling off? I've already got the entire door cover off, just cannot figure out how to get the lockset out without breaking the plastic that the lockset is made of. Any help would be much appreciated. Jeff |

Lucky you for having a glovebox. No idea how to get it off because Mercedes decided to replace the E-Class's glovebox with an airbag in the 124's.
Sorry I can't help.

Post this in the Diesel Discussion area, where there are a bunch of W123 people. I've successfully taken the lock out and replaced it, but it's been a while and I wouldn't be able to explain it.
