Vacuum Pump Replacement 85 300 SD

I have purchased a replacement vacuum pump for my 85 300 SD. Is there anything special to consider during R and R? The repair CD is vague.

Nope - remove the old one and install the new. Don't forget the gasket.

I would clean the area around the pump (before removal) so that you do not introduce crud into the engine when you remove the pump. Also clean the screw heads so they do not strip.
