Help on Dodge Ram
Does anyone know how to troubleshoot the AC/heater blower on a 1996 Dodge Ram 1500? I just purchase this pickup last week.
The blower only works on OFF and HIGH speed. The compressor would turn on, if it is on low speed AC mode. Because I feel the cold air from the vent, when the car is running. Thank you for your help in advance. Jack |
Sounds like your heater blower resistor has failed. I think it is located on that year behind the glove box on the heater box. It will be a coil looking thing with wires pluged to it that sticks into the heater box so that the air flow of the heater and a/c cools it. Other than that it could be the switch itself as these do tend to burn out on the dodge pickups.
