Where to find the chassis number?

I can't find the chassis number on my 250s W108 from 1967
The one stamped in the body

There is a vin plate but Where to find the chassis number?

Anyone knows?

Your chassis number is 108.012

However, it is the location on the car I can’t find!

It's stamped on the passenger side frame rail in front of the air cleaner. It may be covered in dirt, so clean it up.

You are probably right, but according to my bible, a 1967 250S is a 108.012
A 250SE is a 108.014. :confused: :confused:
