Hi, I have a 98 C43 AMG that i recently purchased and since then the ESP/BAS light has come on and off quite a few times. The light sometimes comes on when i turn the car on. I then turn the car off and then turn it back on and the light is gone. Has anyone had any similiar experiences or do any of the techs know what this might be? thanks

Stop light switches are a common problem. I recommend you scan for dtc codes because that will tell you what is triggering the light. Or if your handy with tools, swap in a new stop light switch, they're about $15. The switch is on the brake pedal. You will need to remove the underdash panel and the switch needs to be adjusted when installed.
