drain plug stripped, waht tap size?

I need to run a tap through my oil pan to fix a stripped problem. Do you guys know what size it is? It is for a '79 300SD Turbodiesel with a 617.

12-1.5 is the size. May need to tap oversize, though. Check out the products available here for some thread chasers, plugs et al.
