Here is a great web page for 124 (1986 to 1996), but it is in German.
www.w124archiv.de

wish I knew German. There is actually a discussion forum on that site. I wonder who knows more, us or them?

Good question!

I noticed on that site that they mentioned Mercedesshop. Also Stu Ritter's 124 Bible too!

Ya, about the only thing you can do is look at their gallery of 124's.

Interesting - can't help wondering about some things

Daraufhin habe ich mir den W140 S350Turbodiesel gekauft.Aus 1.Hand mit 85TKM gekauft und heute fast 250TKM und ich bereue keinen Tag!!![B]

You can: Google the web address and then click "translate".

then some things never change regardless of where you are at:

Servus together!

me this afternoon nearly the heart slipped into the trousers, as it in front suddenly
began to nail despite previous investigation of the cam shafts and hydro's
some weeks ago I thought of a principal immediately harm.
in short, - hood up and source of noise searched.
found I after some minutes a slipped elbow union seal to
rear cylinder on the driver's side and a hole without screws.
to the DC dealer driven, seals and screw are available, steh'ich now
like the famous "Ochs vor'm mountain".

as *§%$(/&$"$§"$* one gets, there directly between side members, front wall
and exhaust manifold a tool set?! the sport spirit has me
packed however I know myself momentarily no more advice....

from you someone can give me ' nen tip to create like that possibly nevertheless
is or should I better mine proudly to the nail hang and the workshop
visit?

nailing * gruessle

I use both forums

As native Swiss living in Boston I use both Forums for Problems with my 92 300TE. I could try to translate if there is some need. I feel however that both forums are more or less redundant - this forum might actually have even better knowledge.
