Common tools required for W126

I am about to start doing some mechanical servicing on my 89 560SEL.

Having worked on a range of non European cars over the years I have a reasonable selection of tools but don't have an hex head gear.

Can anyone recommend some standard bits that are needed?

Cheers
Matt.

11,13,17, 19 and 21mm sockets and wrenches.. those come up right of the top. I am sure others will chime in.

smaller sizes as well

I'd recommend some allen sockets ( allen drives that fit a ratchet) for 5mm or higher, up to at least 13. Depending on the engine, some allen head drivers that have the ball end that allow a 10-20* offset.

Don't forget a good Service Manual, sometimes the best tool in the box... ;)

Best Regards,
Jim
